The Project
I had some scrap butcher block strips from the most recent shuffleboard table I made and I didn’t want to just throw them away. So, I cut the long strips down to 14 inches and glued them together in order to make the cutting board that you see in the featured image.
Once it was all glued up, I sanded everything down, filled a couple of the small gaps, and then put a round-over on all edges to give it a more finished look. At this point I had a nice looking cutting board but I didn’t know what I was going to do with it.
Engage 2022
With the Netscout Engage 2022 conference starting on Tuesday, I though I should make something for that and maybe give it away. So, I downloaded the Netscout logos, tagline, and a fun image and got it all prepared in LightBurn. The overall process took about 14 minutes and the final dimension of the cutting board is 13.875 x 10.625.
Using the Wyze camera that I installed inside my laser I made a short video of the process.
